Securing member data and access online

The American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) is respected for its dedication to industrial hygiene and occupational and environmental health and safety communities.

This membership-based organization founded in the New Deal era has stayed relevant to its growing membership by providing robust benefits, many of which are now accessible through its digital properties. These include a WordPress website fully integrated with Fonteva, an Association Management Solution (AMS) built on Salesforce. Under our guidance, the website was migrated to a new hosting solution, Pantheon, without disrupting member services or access.

The tools Fíonta has at its disposal make the conversion process a breeze. I have been through this process a few times in my career, and this is, without a doubt, the easiest and most efficient conversion I have ever experienced. I highly recommend that all member-based nonprofits give Fíonta serious consideration for their needs.

It was critically important to ACGIH that the website move from one host to another securely without interruption to content or member services and that the sync between Fonteva and WordPress website remain functional.

01
Unsecure hosting

The prior hosting environment posed a security risk due to vulnerability to cyberattacks and data breaches. ACGIH needed to transition to a more robust and secure hosting solution.

02
Lack of agility

Sluggish and unreliable data synchronization between the website and Salesforce hindered ACGIH’s ability to make real-time updates, which impacted the website’s responsiveness to member interactions.

03
Customization needs

ACGIH had specific requirements for their Pantheon environment that could not be met with an out-of-the-box solution.

Fíonta performed a thorough analysis of ACGIH’s existing website and developed a plan for a technical solution. Following industry best practices, rigorous testing will focus on data integrity and migration.

Planning and preparation

Conducted an in-depth analysis and requirements gathering to assess any possible complications.

Migration execution

We documented a set of pre-migration tasks in order to guide and optimize the move to a Pantheon environment.

Membership integration

Fíonta conducted comprehensive testing of the existing integration with Salesforce for membership management to verify seamless migration and maintain membership functionality before moving forward with any final implementations.

ACGIH migrated its website to Pantheon, a fully-featured platform that offered the organization exceptional value and data security. The transition was executed so seamlessly that members were completely unaware of the change. Following the successful migration, ACGIH transitioned to Accent, Fíonta’s managed services practice, further enhancing the organization’s digital capabilities.
