Hi friends,
March is always an interesting month for me. It’s started to get warmer and the sun is out later, but it still feels like winter. It feels like a shorter month with lots of changes and spring is just around the corner. I’m a big vegetable grower and I can’t wait for it to be consistently warm so I can start working in my garden.
Change is a constant with Salesforce as well with the Summer ‘21 release coming in hot. The release windows for the Summer release are the weekends of June 5th, 2021 and June 12th, 2021 with the first Summer ‘21 Sandbox Preview scheduled for May 8th, 2021. I’ll update you over the coming months with more information on this coming release. As always, visit Salesforce Trust to check upcoming maintenance and changes to your specific instance. If you are unsure of which instance your Salesforce is on, navigate to the Setup Menu in Production or Sandbox (the instance will be different depending on the org), type in Company Information in the quick find box and locate your Instance Name on the right hand side. It should look like this:

While it’s important to always be looking ahead with Salesforce, it’s also important to know what you have. Salesforce.org does an excellent job of highlighting relevant release information in a digestible format in their Release Webinars. I know it’s last minute, but Salesforce.org is hosting a nonprofit cloud specific Spring ‘21 Release Harbor Tour Webinar TODAY (March 17th) at 12pm ET. It’s not too late to sign up and they should make the recording available after the live webinar. You can find additional upcoming Nonprofit Cloud webinars here. I’m looking forward to the five-part webinar series on Program Management starting on April 5th, I recommend signing up if you run programs as there will be lots of information provided over the five sessions. Email me if you’re interested in learning more about how to leverage the Program Management Module for Nonprofit Cloud.
In the spirit of collaboration and sharing best practices, Salesforce.org has announced their first-ever Nonprofit Summit featuring our client, the NAACP!

The keynote speakers will be Dr. Jane Goodall and Leslie Odom Jr. Fun fact, Dr. Jane used to babysit for my wife’s family when they lived in Africa. It’s a small world indeed.
Register here and let me know which sessions you will be attending!
