DC Scavenger Hunt

A few Friday’s ago, the DC-based Confluence team left the office a little early and headed out for a team activity – a scavenger hunt throughout the neighborhood of Penn Quarter.

We broke into teams and each team leader logged into the Stray Boots website to begin. Stray Boots offers scavenger hunts in major cities across the US and DC is lucky enough to have two neighborhood options (Georgetown and Penn Quarter). Clues were delivered to each team leader via their mobile website and points were tallied as we moved around Penn Quarter with the spirit of competition fueling us!

As a technology company, we were thrilled to support a fun and innovative online service and were all very impressed with the quality of the questions and answers. And, such wonderful buildings and monuments on the hunt – we sometimes forget how lucky we are to have the museums and historical buildings a stone’s throw away from our offices. Our hunt took us to Ford’s Theatre, International Spy Museum, Crime Museum,  United States Navy Memorial, National Portrait Gallery and more – we even lost a few of our creatives in the Portrait Gallery for a spell.

The teams met up at the fun and tasty Matchbox Chinatown on H Street, NW for pizza, drinks and dessert afterwards and prizes sourced locally were awarded to the winners! A fun day for all and a great team building experience.
