The Fíonta Note – September 2021

How to Home Edit Your Data

Our world changed in 2020—the past many months have seen more than their fair share of anxiety and uncertainty. But we’ve also found joy, comfort, and distraction where we could. Marathons on Netflix with gurus like Marie Kondo, Clea Shearer, and Joanna Teplin helped us realize our organizational dreams. (Or maybe it was just us making multiple online purchases per week at the Container Store.)

So we must ask, does your Salesforce data spark joy? Read on to learn how to prep, edit, categorize, contain, and maintain your data. Let’s Edit!

Requirements: The Unsung Hero of Successful CRM Projects

You’ve probably seen questions like these in ASAE Collaborate or another association/nonprofit forum:

  • We’re looking for a new AMS/CRM. Do you have a recommendation?
  • What are the pros/cons of [AMS/CRM brand]?
  • Does anyone have an RFP they can share?

Before you ask people for recommendations, you must know what your organization needs because the software that works for them may not work for you. You can’t use another organization’s requirements or RFP to find the right system for your unique needs. Sure, those documents can offer ideas about what to investigate, but the only way to ensure you’ll get software that meets your organization’s needs is to spend time gathering and prioritizing requirements. Partner Day at Week of Learning

We’re excited to host a virtual Ask a Partner Expert Session on October 8th during Salesforce.org’s Week of Learning (Oct 4-8)! After four days of hands on learning and roundtables, you’ll be buzzing with ideas and wondering “How can I make this work for MY community?”. That’s where we come in.

Join us for our Ask a Partner Expert session on AI. Fíontans will facilitate a high-level discussion about artificial intelligence for nonprofits and associations and are available for questions and followup.

WEBINAR: Migrating from Raiser’s Edge to NPSP

Is your organization thinking about leaving Raiser’s Edge behind for a more flexible, extendible, scalable platform for fundraising and donor management? You are not alone!

If you are a nonprofit executive or development director whose organization is outgrowing Raiser’s Edge but aren’t sure how to identify the potential impacts on your business processes (or your budget), this half-hour Zoom session is for you.

We’ll outline the implementation and data migration process, discuss the opportunities that the Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) presents for organizations currently on Raiser’s Edge, and give you some next steps to help your organization analyze and plan for the change.
