Opioid addiction is a national crisis and, in 2016, was responsible for 110 deaths per day, equaling 40,704 deaths over the course of one year. The National Institute for Healthcare Management (NIHCM) Foundation, gathered data and presented Fíonta with a series of charts and a concept for an infographic – The Opioid Crisis at a Glance. Midway through the design of this infographic, more recent numbers became available and they presented an even grimmer picture of this public health catastrophe. The final infographic presents five separate sets of statistics as digestible, visual chunks and uses flat graphics, color, and typography to suggest hierarchy and convey information.
Fíonta’s design department excels at taking complex information (raw data, charts, existing infographics, concepts) and distilling them down to easy-to-understand, sharable, visual depictions. Contact us to learn more about infographic design for nonprofit organizations and associations.
