On November 6th, Fíonta was pleased to host a Dreamforce Viewing Party at our office in Dupont Circle for DC, Maryland, and Virginia Salesforce fans who were unable to attend Dreamforce in person.
A spirited group attended to view Ashton Kutcher’s Technology Innovation as a Force for Good and Marc Benioff’s Customer Success in the Fourth Industrial Revolution keynotes, as well as to network with other nonprofits, and enjoy a convivial atmosphere. Between keynotes, we had the chance to share stories about cause and mission-driven work.
Ashton Kutcher opened his keynote by sharing the story of a young girl who was abused by a family friend and he showed a map of the pervasiveness of sexual abuse and fear. He said that he could not speak about technology as a force for good, because he does not believe technology is a force at all. “We like to blame technology, because we don’t want to point the finger at each other,” Kutcher said. “…technology isn’t a force for good or evil, it’s just a tool. You are the force for good, or for evil.” In a world of constant technological distractions, sometimes our actions can get lost in likes, retweets, and reposts. Hear more from Ashton Kutcher by watching the full keynote.
Marc Benioff’s keynote was a tale in three parts: We Are All Trailblazers, The Customer Success Platform for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and Trailblazers in Action. Benioff highlighted his definition of trailblazers, described Pledge 1%, and the company’s dedication to its core values of equality and customer success. He introduced the Fourth Industrial Revolution, “where artificial intelligence, robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT) are transforming the customer experience.” Benioff unveiled a number of new, personalized, and customizable products, including myTrailhead, myEinstein, myLightning, mySalesforce, myIoT, and HerokuConnect. He also announced the new strategic partnership with Google that integrates GSuite, the Google Cloud Platform, and Google Analytics 360. And finally, Benioff turned it over to other speakers to present Trailblazers in Action, including Adidas, 20th Century Fox, and T-Mobile. All are using Salesforce to ensure customer success. You can view a recording online if you have not seen Benioff’s keynote.
