Wow. I can’t believe it’s already November 2021. Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and we are going to be visiting my in-laws in Maryland. I’ll be spending the week catching up with my nephews and family I haven’t seen in months and enjoying a few days off. In this month’s email, I’ve focused on ways to keep your Salesforce instance secure, some thoughts around using technology to enrich Giving Tuesday efforts, as well as a quick review of the two last webinars of the year.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I’ll see you in December!
ARTICLE Multi-Factor Authentication
Beginning February 1, 2022, Salesforce is enforcing the enablement of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), which means you will need MFA set up on that date to access your Salesforce org. Enabling MFA is an essential step in protecting your Salesforce environment and the data housed within it from nefarious actors who may steal, sabotage, or otherwise put your data at risk.
Like how they rolled out Lightning, Salesforce offers customers help during this period in the form of the Multi-Factor Authentication Assistant in your Salesforce Setup, which provides you with a central hub for all recommended activities, tools, and resources for a successful rollout.
Reply to this email if you want to connect with one of our consultants with expertise in enabling MFA and other security protocols. If you are a current Fionta client, reach out to your project manager for more information and support this on your roadmap. Don’t hesitate on this – it will directly impact how you and your users access Salesforce.
ARTICLE Isn’t It Ironic? Technology can help you seem more human to Giving Tuesday donors
Never has a Giving Tuesday had a more primed audience. Last year, despite the economic disruption caused by the pandemic, the number of Giving Tuesday donors increased by 29% over 2019, and donations increased by 25%. According to the M+R Annual Benchmarks Report, most email metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, response rates, and page completion rates, also went up in 2020, according to the M+R Annual Benchmarks Report. However, virtual fatigue is no joke and must be factored into any online fundraising or marketing plans.
Amidst the digital frenzy, your organization can differentiate your Giving Tuesday campaign this year by simply behaving more humanly. It’s what everyone craves these days—more human connection. And isn’t it ironic? Technology can help you seem more human to prospective donors during the Giving Tuesday season. Read on for 8 ways technology can help your nonprofit make a human connection with donors and prospects
