Megan has spent her whole adult life working for nonprofit organizations. She began as a costume technician in the regional theater circuit before transitioning to arts administration and earning her MFA in Performing Arts Management from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Her career in nonprofit technology began when she realized that although she was very bad at marketing and fundraising, she had a talent for building systems to support people who were actually good at marketing and fundraising. Since then, she has worked as a certified Salesforce administrator and technology manager at such organizations as Sidwell Friends School, the Aspen Institute, and most recently, the National Geographic Society.

When she's not working, Megan likes to sew new clothes and read sci-fi and fantasy novels. She lives just outside DC with her two children, with whom she creates elaborate plans to transform their tiny apartment balcony into a wild bird paradise.
