Summer ‘24 release highlights
User interface
Salesforce continues to enhance the end-user experience, particularly with Dynamic Forms. These forms will soon replace traditional page layouts, allowing for dynamic data display based on user permissions or specific record data, such as showing corporate-specific tabs when the Account Type is “Corporation.”
Nonprofit Cloud enhancements
Fundraising
- Custom giving scores: You can now create and automate custom giving scores for each donor based on Recency, Frequency, and Monetary values, aiding in targeted campaign efforts.
- Gift acknowledgements and receipts: Easily generate and store transaction and end-of-year gift acknowledgements either individually or in bulk.
- Store and track multiple addresses for constituents: this gets to feature parity with the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) and allows users to track seasonal housing of their constituents
- Track campaign success with source codes on Marketing Cloud Growth Campaigns: updates to the new edition of Marketing Cloud Growth allows marketers to leverage Salesforce’s Outreach Source Codes directly from within Marketing Cloud
Program management
- Remove participants from upcoming scheduled sessions: this release lets you remove participants in bulk from upcoming scheduled sessions, saving program officers time when participants opt out of future sessions.
- Group Program Participants into cohorts: this gets to feature parity with the Program Management Module (PMM) providing program officers the ability to group participants by cohort, such as the Spring 2024 Cohort, for reporting and additional segmentation
- Get a comprehensive view of your program delivery with a Program Management Home Page. This update provides an out of the box home page that is specifically designed for program staff to monitor the health of their programs.
Grantmaking
- Effortlessly launch complex grant applications: Summer ‘24 serves up the ability to quickly stand up complex grant applications, allowing grantmaking organizations a quicker lead time to create repeatable applications for grantmakers, speeding up your ability to award grants to organizations and individuals who need funding the most.
- Measure the impact and success of grants with Outcome Management: this release allows grantmakers to leverage standard Outcome and Indicators features and functionality that are already available for program and case management.
- Securely collaborate on grantmaking application sections: grantseekers can now invite teammates from their organization to collaborate in real time on grant applications.
Flow improvements
Salesforce’s declarative automation tool, Flow, introduces several significant updates:
- Transform action: Now generally available, this feature allows admins to transform data in bulk or per record without the performance issues associated with previous versions.
- Repeater element: Also now generally available, this tool simplifies the user experience by enabling actions on multiple records within a single screen flow, enhancing admin and consultant efficiency.
- Field conditionality in screen flows: Fields on forms can now be conditionally disabled or set to read-only, ensuring better data integrity and a more streamlined user experience.
