Mark Patterson appointed CEO; Lisa Rau to continue as Executive Chairman and lead business development.
WASHINGTON, May 11, 2018 – Fíonta is pleased to announce that Mark Patterson has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Patterson comes to Fíonta from Community Brands where he was the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Products and General Manager of Aptify. Before Community Brands’ purchase of Aptify, he spent over eight years at that firm, most recently in the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer where he ran the company on a day-to-day basis. With a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, over 25 years of experience in technology, and deep experience with association management software and solutions, Mark is a natural fit for Fíonta during a period of strategic growth.

Fíonta’s co-founder and CEO for 17 years, Lisa Rau, will stay with the company as executive chairman and will continue to lead the company’s business development team. Dr. Rau co-founded Fíonta (previously named Confluence Corporation) in 2001 following an executive career in information technology management and R&D. She holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence.
Jeffrey Sullivan, who started the company with Dr. Rau after working with her in two previous jobs, will stay in his current role as president of Fíonta.
